North Buncombe BlackHawk Band Fundraisers
The North Buncombe Band Boosters have scheduled the following fundraisers. Proceeds from these fundraisers benefit North Buncombe High School’s Blackhawk Band. For more information about the Blackhawk Band visit their website, www.blackhawkband.com.
Car Wash August 18
The North Buncombe Band Boosters will host a free car wash from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, August 18, at three Weaverville locations. Members of the North Buncombe High School Blackhawk Band will be washing cars at:
- Tractor Supply Store, 14 Monticello Road
- Ace Hardware, 61 Weaver Blvd.
- McDonald’s, 168 Weaver Blvd.

Fifth Annual Flea Market September 8
The boosters will sponsor the fifth annual flea market from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sept. 8 in North Buncombe High School’s cafeteria, located at 890 Clarks Chapel Road. Donations for the flea market are now being accepted. Call Pam Collins at 645-0083 for more information.
Fifth Annual Barbecue and Concert September 15
The fifth annual Barbecue and Concert, sponsored by North Buncombe High School Band Boosters, will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., on Sept. 15 in the Weaverville United Methodist Fellowship Center on Main Street.
Following the dinner, the Blackhawk Band will perform on the lawn between Weaverville United Methodist Church and First Baptist Church. The band’s selections will include “Everybody Loves the Blues,” “ Steppin’ to the Bad Side” and “Big Noise from Innetka, Nutville.”
