Blue Mountain Pizza and Catering honors First Responders with Free Pizza on Sept. 11

Blue Mountain Pizza owner Matt Danford just sent me this press release.   Matt really does so much for our community and I know I’m just one of many who are happy to have him here in Weaverville (plus the pizza’s darn good too!).

Matt Danford, owner of Blue Mountain Pizza and Catering, is a man who believes in giving back to his community.  Each year he serves more than 250 turkey dinners to those who are alone or in need at Thanksgiving.  This year, on Tuesday, September 11, 2007, he’ll begin another tradition, honoring the men and women in blue, policemen, firemen and emergency medical rescue teams that make up the front line of emergency first responders who take care of us in times of need.

All day, on Tuesday, Sept 11, 2007, all emergency first responders in uniform are invited to Blue Mountain Pizza for a free pizza of their choice.  Entertainment that evening will be provided by the popular trio of Buddy, Carol and Jamie, playing bluegrass, old-time, early country and more.

What: “Honoring First Responders Day”, music by Buddy, Carol and Jamie.
When: 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. Tuesday September 11, 2007
Where: Blue Mountain Pizza, 55 North Main Street
Cost: One free pizza to any emergency first responder, lunch or dinner (alcohol not included)

For further information contact Matt Danford, owner of Blue Mountain Pizza and Catering, at 658-8778 or owner@bluemountainpizza.com
