Candidate Forum on URTV Oct. 31 and Nov. 1
If you missed last Thursday’s Town Council Candidate Forum, you can watch it on URTV (Cable Channel 20) 7:30-9 p.m. tonight (Wednesday, October 31) or 8-9:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 1. One thing to note is the opening remarks made by each candidate have been omitted. This was due to technical interference which made 3 or 4 of the candidates remarks unintelligible. It was felt to be fair all opening remarks should be removed.
Some clips from the Candidate Forum are also available on the WeavervilleNews page on YouTube.

A couple reminders about the upcoming election, because I’ve been told that many people aren’t sure where they need to vote:
Voting takes place Tuesday, November 6. Polling locations are open 6:30 a.m. until 7:30 p.m. There are three voting places:
- If you’re in Weaverville proper, vote at the Town Hall (30 South Main Street)
- If you’re in Woodland Hills, vote at the Woodland Hills Baptist Church (50 Woodland Hills Road, Asheville)
- If you’re in Reems Creek, vote at the Reems Creek Fire Station (730 Reems Creek Road)
Here’s a sample ballot for this year’s election, which includes all 9 candidates running for Town Council. We are electing three new council members: http://www.buncombecounty.org/common/boe/BCBEballots_8.pdf
If you have questions or need additional information about where, when, or how to vote, please contact the Buncombe County Board of Elections at 250-4200.
