You’ve probably noticed the American Flags which line Main Street for certain holidays, notably Memorial Day, Veterans Day, and Independence Day. What you may not know is those flags are courtesy of the Weaverville Rotary Club American Flag Program. Each year the Rotary Club enlists various businesses, groups and individuals whose sponsorships make the Flag Program possible.

The 2008 American Flag program is open to individuals, groups or business sponsors. If you are interested in being a sponsor, please contact Darcy Willis at Preservation Hall, 115 N. Main Street, 645-1047, or the Weaverville Rotary Club at PO Box 283, Weaverville, NC 28787. Contributions are tax deductible and support various activities for our local schools and the community. First time sponsorship is $100/year, and ongoing support is $75.00/year.
