Benefits for North Buncombe JV Girl’s Soccer
Today’s Weaverville Tribune featured a letter from Don Blackwell about two fundraisers he’s hosting. The money raised at these events will go towards the formation of a Junior Varsity girl’s soccer team at North Buncombe High School. According to Blackwell’s letter, 2008 is the first year North Buncombe will have a JV girl’s team, which means there’s more uniforms, training, gear, etc. to buy. Cost to attend either benefit is $5, and door prizes will be given away at both. The Lady Hawks will also host South Caldwell in a home match following the benefit pancake breakfast on March 1.
