Several Weaverville restaurants have designated Thursday, April 17 as Weaverville Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) Day and are donating a percentage of their profits to support Weaverville Elementary and Weaverville Primary schools. Donated funds will go directly to help pay for books, computers, playground equipment, field trips and individual classroom projects. To support the event, you just have to eat out at any of the following participating restaurants on April 17:

• Blue Mountain Pizza, 55 North Main Street
• Athens Restaurant, 247 North Main Street
• Well-Bred Bakery, 26 North Main Street
• Bojangles (Lunch & Dinner only), 164 Weaver Blvd.
• Mike’s Grill, 5 South Main Street
• McDonald’s (11 a.m.-2 p.m. only), 168 Weaver Blvd.
• Sunnyside Cafe, 18 North Main Street
• Maggie B’s Wine & Specialty Shop, 113 North Main Street
• Poppy’s, 10 Tri-City Plaza
• Weaverville Milling Company, 1 Old Mill Lane
