According to the Buncombe County government website, one of the things Sheriff Duncan promised while running for office was to be accountable to the people of Buncombe County (I don’t recall this promise, but I’ll take their word for it). Thus the new Sheriff’s Annual Report. The Annual Report is “a report card for what we have accomplished over the past year and how we have utilized the resources provided to us by the taxpayers”.

The report is divided into the different operating divisions of the Sheriff’s Office and gives a brief description of the division as well as some of the accomplishments. This is the first annual report and they are asking for comments or suggestions you may have about what you would like to see in future reports. Send your comments or suggestions to
