Why was a man stopped on Hamburg mtn rd last week? The young female officer said he crossed the yellow line and she suspected he had been drinking. When she didn’t get the breathalizer to up to .08 she called her sargeant not sure she was using it correctly (that is ok because she seemed new to the job.) The sargeant came and did the test two more times. Still no .08. Why did the police give him a ticket for the yellow line and take him to the jail and tow his truck? The magistrate gave him the test for the fourth time and could not get the .08. There were no charges to be made according to the magistrate. Then he was ready to go home and no one will give him a ride. Also, I have videotaped ten cars going down hamburg mtn rd. It is impossible while doing the speed limit to not go over the yellow line. If your front tire doesn’t go over you rear tire goes off the road. Maybe a ten miles per hour it can be done. He had $175.00 towing charges, embarrassment at work and left in Asheville. Please explain

Just a reminder that MyWeaverville.com is a privately-run website which is not owned, paid by, or affiliated with the Town government. Though I can often point you in the right direction if you want to know who to contact, I can’t answer complaints or questions like the one above. Best bet is to contact the Police Department. Contact information is available on the Town website, http://www.weavervillenc.org
