My family has lived in Weaverville for eight years. We value the beauty of the area and the kindness of it's people. One of the things that drew us to the area was the small intimate area of Main Street and it's merchants. The celebrations that the town holds are dear to us. Art in Autumn is wonderful and highlights many local vendors and artists. The car shows and music at Rodneys draws it's own unique but equally great audience. The Christmas parade and the homecoming parades are greatly anticipated as well. The 4th of July celebration has been a community effort for years and will be missed. My family looks forward to it every year and we have invited friends to come share the celebration with us for the last several years. Some of the funding comes from the taxes that I pay and felt dissapointed that I didn't get to choose that my money was to be re-allocated. Why was that?
