Joyful Noise Community Music and Arts Center invites everyone to a special event featuring two concertos by Johann Sebastian Bach on Friday, July 17, 2009 at the First Presbyterian Church (30 Alabama Avenue Map). Details:

Concertos by Bach July 17
You are warmly invited to a special event featuring two great masterworks of Bach, performed by members of the Opal String Quartet, the Asheville Symphony, and the Joyful Noise Community Music & Arts Center faculty.

The concert will take place at 8 p.m. on Friday, July 17, 2009 at the First Presbyterian Church of Weaverville, located at 30 Alabama Ave. in downtown Weaverville. Suggested donation is $10, with 100% of proceeds to benefit the Joyful Noise Camp Scholarship Fund.

The program is as follows:
Bach, Brandenburg Concerto No. 6
Featuring Kara Poorbaugh & Gina Caldwell, viola soloists
With Margery Kowal (viola), Frances Duff (cello), Franklin Keel (cello), and Bu Scherf (doublebass)

Bach, Concerto for Two Violins in d minor
Featuring Kara Poorbaugh & Ginger Kowal, violin soloists
With Gina Caldwell (violin), Margery Kowal (viola), Franklin Keel (cello), and Bu Scherf (doublebass)
