“Behind the Big House” at Vance Birthplace
The Vance Birthplace State Historic Site (911 Reems Creek Road) will celebrate Black History Month with a program every Saturday during the month of February called “Behind the Big House”, which explores the lives of slaves on plantations. Dates and times are February 6 at 10 a.m., February 13 at 11 a.m., February 20 at 1 p.m., and February 27 at 2 p.m. The program is free but space is limited and advance reservations are required.
