Prodigal Son’s Quartet May 25

Salem United Methodist Church invites everyone to join them for a time of worship through song at 11 a.m. Sunday, May 25. The Prodigal Son’s Quartet will be the featured singers. There’s not much of a bio available for them (actually, there’s not one at all), but I’m told the church had to book them a year in advance, so I suspect they’re pretty good. Salem United Methodist Church is located at 9 Salem Church Road.

(If anyone has seen the Prodigal Son’s Quartet perform or knows more about them, let me know and I’ll pass that info along.)

Healing Prayer at Christ United Methodist Church

Christ United Methodist Church invites you to come to the church for a time of prayer and healing every Saturday night during Lent (now thru March 22) from 7:30-8:30 p.m.

As you enter the Sanctuary, you will have an opportunity to sit in the presence of God and pray. During this time, you may pray for yourself and/or a loved one. If you desire for a prayer minister to pray with you, someone will be available for prayer.

When we carry our burdens of physical, emotional and spiritual hurts to our Lord, we will find ourselves open to receive God’s love and healing. As we pray, we will encounter Jesus, the Great Physician and Healer, and we will find greater health and wellness in our lives.

For more information call the church at 645-5785 or visit their website, www.cumcweaverville.org.  Christ United Methodist Church is located at 81 Garrison Branch Road.
