Blue Mountain Pizza (55 North Main Street) turns 6 next week and they’re celebrating with their yearly All You Can Eat Anniversary Buffet on Tuesday, March 2, 2010. Here’s the info from Matt at Blue Mountain:

As in years past we will be celebrating with a All You Can Eat Pizza buffet. We will also offer a limited menu that evening of salads and sandwiches. Our delivery will not be affected.
With the purchase of a regular priced drink the All You Can Eat Pizza buffet will be $12.99. If you are one of our Newsletter Subscribers and have a coupon the price is reduced to a remarkable $6.
You will also notice as we prepare for our anniversary we are doing a bit of remodeling and have now doubled the number of draft beers we are able to offer. While we will be changing our selection on a regular bases currently we have added a Pisgah India Ale with a gravity of 7.5 percent, a Duck Rabbit Brown Ale from Farmville NC and a Bell’s Oberon Ale which is an American wheat ale, spicy and fruity.

Clothes washers, freezers, refrigerators, central air conditioners, room air conditioners, air-source heat pumps, geothermal heat pumps, ceiling fans, dehumidifiers, and programmable thermostats will be exempt from State and local sales and use tax when purchased during the sale tax holiday period. There is no threshold, as is the case with items sold during the August sales tax holiday for clothing, school supplies, computers, etc.”

The Sales Tax Holiday is coming up – August 7-9, 2009. Certain items purchased between 12:01 a.m. Friday, August 7 and 11:59 p.m. Sunday, August 9 are exempt from sales tax in North Carolina. Details:

North Carolinians can save money by purchasing items like clothing, school supplies and computers during the state’s sales tax holiday that begins on Friday, August 7 and runs through Sunday, August 9.Clothing, footwear, and school supplies of $100 or less per item; school instructional materials of $300 or less per item; sports and recreational equipment of $50 or less per item, computers of $3,500 or less per item; and computer supplies of $250 or less per item will be exempt from sales tax. The holiday begins at 12:01 a.m. on Friday, August 7 and lasts until 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, August 9.

Art Safari Happenings
The Spring Weaverville Art Safari Tour is this weekend. This time there are 44 artists participating in and around Weaverville. The Preview Party is tonight at the Reems Creek Golf Club, featuring a silent auction, door prizes, food, and a chance to meet the artists. Tickets are$10 and doors are open 7-9 p.m. Participating artists will open their studios 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday for the tour. As always, it’s free.
